“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” — George Bernard Shaw

I love play, playing and being playful. It can be such a beautiful, wonderful distraction or way to move your body or work your brain, in a space and time that isn’t necessarily work.

What I also love about play and playtime, is that time that you spend with family playing games. It’s another type of engagement. It’s another type of interaction where you can laugh sing, dance and think about other stuff. Everyone knows I love to laugh and being playful taps into that as well.

Having fun, being funny being silly, taking breaths to not take things too seriously for a bit. Additional perks, benefits and bonuses of play is engaging in recreational sports or playing an instrument.

These activities can also teach you something new, give you the space and the opportunity to learn something new. Maybe even provide Community, being a part of a team in a different way.

I’m grateful for play because perhaps it reignites my inner child. May we never forget our inner child. The inner child still has a place on our journey, on the path that we are on. Being playful reminds me to celebrate my inner child and honor my childhood.

So let’s Refresh your playful vibes… let’s Refresh play.
