e’re back at it again with more exploration and support on not just making food but becoming an expert food maker!
Did you know that Chef’s have a ranking of their own, very much like the military? It’s called Brigade de Cuisine or in American kitchens- “Kitchen Staff” (How creative?). If you’ve streamed or caught any of those nice cooking shows on Netflix and The Food Channel, you may have already gotten a glimpse into this hierarchy, assuring everyone in the kitchen has a job.
Another head scratcher for you is the difference between a Chef and a Cook! Some may argue that a Chef is a type of Cook, with learned skills and training. However, be careful not to insult your chef friends by calling them cooks as they may feel it reduces their hard work, creativity, and knowledge.
We challenge you to take on a bigger or more complex meal! Never cooked Thanksgiving dinner? Try it out now. Never cooked a dish that takes all day (or even two) to make? Give it a shot and let us know how it turns out!
What do you think the difference is between a Chef and a Cook? And let us see what dishes you try out- good or bad! We won’t judge, but maybe we’ll all have a good laugh with you.
